Raise-the-Paddle for our Programs!
Your donation at any level keeps the doors open at the Kirkland Boys & Girls Club. Our Raise-the-Paddle portion of the auction will go directly towards providing summer camp scholarships for our members and much-needed helmets for those young athletes in our football program. The Club runs two major programs in the fall—Junior Kang and Junior Rebel Football. These targeted high-yield programs host over 250 youth from our community every year and promote good character and healthy lifestyles. We have purchased 60 new DNA concussion-resistant helmets in the last two years and with your help, we wish to fit every child with these state-of-the-art helmets by the upcoming 2012 season. Every dollar raised during our $125 level Raise the Paddle portion of the evening will go toward the purchase of these helmets, helping to ensure the safety of our youth.

Don James Golf Classic
September 14th, 2012 – Newcastle Golf Club" Registration opening soon!
![]()
The 18th Annual Don James Golf Classic presented by CobaltMortgage was held on September 9th, 2011 at the Golf Club at Newcastle!
Last year, with support from our friends at CobaltMortgage, the Kirkland Boys & Girls Club was able to break records and raise more than ever! The event raised more than $125,000 for our youth! There were 20 Hole-Sponsors, 2 Media Sponsors, and of course our presenting sponsor, CobaltMortgage. The tournament was supported by 260 golfers, who in addition to playing the full 36-holes, participated in long drive, closest to the pin, scramble, and hole-in-one contests.
The evening began with Dave "Softy" Mahler of KJR Sports Radio thanking the audience for their participation. Presentations were made by Golf Chair John Warnick. The event ended on a high note after a cocktail hour, dinner reception and an auction. There were approximately 32 unique live auction items and over 150 of silent items.
This year's event is again supported by CobaltMortgage. Our charitable friend has generously agreed to sponsor at the Presenting Sponsor level for the 8th year in a row. Contact their friendly team of leading mortgage professionals uniquely focused on delivering a lending experience unparalleled in today's market for information about attractive mortgage rates and let them help you achieve your financial goals.
The Kirkland Boys & Girls Club is also involved in events that are put on by the Boys & Girls Clubs of King County. For more information and details on these events, please see http://www.positiveplace.org/events.html.
